Exploring the blue economy through a youth exchange.
This Erasmus+ youth exchange, held in Alanya (Turkey), brought together young people from six European countries for an intercultural learning experience focused on the blue economy and personal development. Through thematic workshops, group dynamics, and artistic activities, the project fostered key skills such as intercultural communication, critical thinking, creativity, collaborative leadership, and environmental awareness.
Participants reflected on the role of the fishing economy in coastal communities and co-developed sustainable solutions, learning to work as a team, listen to different perspectives, and overcome challenges through cooperation. The project created a safe and enriching environment where each young person could strengthen their autonomy, sense of responsibility, adaptability, and teamwork — essential competences for personal, social, and professional life.
